Using a good quality multi-purpose compost, pot up your plugs into 10cm pots or 6 cell trays. Once your plug plants have been potted on and labelled, water them in well and grow on for around 5-6 weeks. Water once the compost starts to dry out.
Keep plants frost free until mid/late May and then harden off before being placed in their final positions when the risk of frost has passed in your area.
Water as necessary giving a liquid feed such as Neudorff Organic Plant Feed as instructed throughout the growing season.
***For packs of 20/40 plug plants gently remove the small plugs from the tray by pushing up from the bottom using a pencil.
Brookside Nursery Advice to help you get the best from your Aster Milady plants.
Â
Aster Milady could not be a more perfect plant to grow in the UK climate as these plants prefer cool, moist summer conditions although they do like a sunny position either South or West facing.Â
Â
Prepare the ground before planting by incorporating a slow-release granular fertilizer.Â
Â
Once ready to plant outside, space at 8-10" (20-25cm) intervals to allow them to grow fully without being overcrowded. Water in well and keep watered throughout the growing season.Â
Â
Aster Milady is classed as an annual in the UK and because it can be in flower until the first frosts it is worth feeding every fortnight with a liquid feed.Similar products
