Light: Snake plants are very tough plants that can survive in full sunlight as well as very low light.But indirect sunlight is best for them, which is why they are such great houseplants.
Water: Snake plants don't need much water. Over-watering can cause root rot.
Only water snake plant when the top layer of the soil is completely dry.
Add enough water to saturate the soil, but not so much that theres standing water in the pot.
The excess water should drain out of the pot.
